Care guide

Every weave that leaves my loom is designed to last. Natural fibers like merino, silk, and linen possess extraordinary properties but require mindful handling. Following these few rules will allow you to enjoy their nobility for generations.

Scarves (Silk & Merino)

  • Airing: Merino wool does not absorb odors and is naturally dirt-resistant. Often, simply airing your scarf outdoors is better than washing.
  • Washing: Hand wash only in lukewarm water (max 30°C) using a gentle wool detergent. Avoid rubbing or wringing.
  • Drying: Press out excess water into a clean towel. Dry flat, away from direct sunlight.

Pillowcases (Linen & Wool)

  • Refreshing: Like scarves, pillowcases rarely need a full wash. Regular shaking and airing maintain their resilience.
  • Washing: If necessary, hand wash or use a "hand wash/wool" machine cycle with no spin.
  • Ironing: Linen loves moisture. If you wish to smooth the fabric, iron it while still slightly damp using a high heat setting.

Storage

Off-season, store your scarves loosely rolled (not tightly folded), preferably in a cotton bag with a sprig of lavender.
