This wide shawl was created as part of a series inspired by the idea of treating the warp as a canvas. The starting point was not a specific motif or place, but rather the free exploration of colour, rhythm, and structure. As the work progressed, it began to evoke memories of the former Gdańsk Shipyard, which I had visited not long before. Shades of rust, brick, muted greys, and dark accents brought to mind the industrial character of the area and the traces left behind by time. Although all the textiles in this series grow from the same idea, each one takes it in a different direction. "Shipyard" became a reflection on material, space, and colours discovered within an urban landscape.
