Pine Forest
Merino Wool
Handwoven artisan scarf made from Irish Donegal merino wool. Soft, natural wool gives the woven textile a warm, breathable and substantial feel with a beautifully textured surface. Thanks to the natural properties of merino wool, this handwoven scarf is comfortable to wear throughout autumn, winter and early spring, making it a timeless accessory created in the spirit of slow fashion. This design was not inspired by any specific place. From the very beginning, however, I deliberately chose colours that would evoke the feeling of a forest – the tones of sand, moss, pine needles and dark tree bark. It was only after I finished weaving the scarf that I understood why it felt so familiar. It reminded me of the forests where I grew up, in the heart of Pomerania in northern Poland. Vast pine woods growing on sandy soil, their orderly rows creating a quiet geometry that became part of a familiar landscape. Those were also the forests where I first went mushroom picking.
