“Winter Light” is a series of two scarves woven using the Deflected Double Weave (DDW) technique. The characteristic relief-like surface created by this structure gives the fabric depth and texture while emphasizing the rhythm of its geometric patterns. Created during the winter months, this series intentionally draws on cool shades of blue, navy, and grey. Together, these colours evoke winter landscapes, light reflected from snow, and the quiet atmosphere of short, cold days. Both scarves share the same palette while differing subtly in their pattern arrangement, offering two distinct interpretations of the same inspiration.
